Aaroesund Yachtharbour

Aaroesund Marina and fishing habour - the pearl in Lillebælt

In the middle of the Little Belt and at the entrance to Haderslev Fjord lies the cozy Aaroesund Marina, which consists of a marina and a fishing port. With a central location, the port is visited by approximately 6,000 guest sailors each year, and many use the place to change crews during the summer. Here is lovely nature and a beautiful view of the busy Aaroesund, where the yachts fill the strait.

The new, handicap-friendly mole path from the Perlen sailing house to the lighthouse on the pier has become popular with both tourists and permanent residents. Along the path, which is supported by the Danish Outdoor Council, there are several benches. A staircase has also been made that makes it convenient to go down and swim in the fresh water and enjoy the lovely sandy bottom.

At the end of the harbor is the Perlen sailing house, which contains a sailing room, kitchen, toilet and harbor office with a payment machine. The sailing lounge has a fantastic view down into Aaroesund, to Aaroe, Baagoe and in clear weather all the way to the new Lillebälts Bridge.
The sailing lounge is open to all sailors and campers, both guests and permanent residents. The kitchen with all facilities can also be used to the full. On the west terrace there is a large covered gas grill, which can be used freely for a limited time in the evening. On the east side there is a covered terrace with a view of the harbor area.

Once the harbor fee has been paid, the toilet and shower are free to use. There are also washing machines and dryers in the service building.
At the service building there are 6 new bicycles with 7 internal gears. The bicycles can be used freely by sailors and campers. The code for the bicycles is shown on the receipt from the vending machine.
Behind the “Medborgerhus” immediately by the marina there is a crolf course and a petanque course.
There are many lovely walks and behind the marina 2 shelters.

At the ferry berth there is a harbor grill/ice house and café. Aaroesund Badehotel is planned to reopen in the summer of 2025. The hotel offers a gourmet restaurant and a tavern, and the beautiful buildings contribute to the atmosphere around the harbor. There are also several eating places on Aaroe, to which the ferry sails hourly.
The nearest shopping is one of Denmark's largest campsites, Gammelbro Camping, just over a kilometer from the harbor. The campsite has a large playground and indoor swimming pool, and harbor guests are welcome. There is also a grocery store in Øsby, fruit and vegetables in Hajstrup, "Lindegården", and a well-stocked fruit and vegetable stall in the marina.
There is an hourly bus service to Haderslev. Regarding the lovely walks in the area: see the notice at the harbor.
