Kongebro Harbour, Middelfart
Kongebro harbour at Middelfart
As the name tell, the Kongebro harbour is located close to the old bridge over Lillebælt. The harbour has space for around 45 boats and with a maximum depth of 2 meters, it is ideal for smaller yachts. During the summer the harbour easily and fast gets full of guest boats, so arrive in good time. The beech forest and Hindsgavl Zoo are the nearest neighbours with hiking trails and nature experiences. Along with the belt’s water and the beautiful view of both bridges, the harbour is a little gem. The beautiful 4-star Hotel Comwell Kongebrogården is located down to the harbour and entices many guests to the area.
A 15-minute walk along the water takes you to Middelfarts waterfront and city center. On the way you pass Sildemarken, where the fishermen dried their nets and on to the dinghy houses at old harbour (Gl. Havn), home for Lillebælt’s Smakkelaug. Here it is restored, built and sailed with dinghies, which were formerly common on the Lillebælt.
